Ingredients
Filling:
6 cups of peeled and sliced apples (whatever kind of apple you prefer)
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Topping:
3/4 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats
3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
3/4 cup of dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 cup of melted butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a bowl:
Mix 6 cups of peeled and sliced apples, ½ cup of white sugar, 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of salt together in a bowl; then spread into an 8-inch square baking dish.
In a separate bowl:
Combine ¾ cup of old-fashioned rolled oats, ¾ cup of all-purpose flour, ¾ cup of dark brown sugar, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon of baking powder; add ½ cup of melted butter and mix until crumbly. Crumble topping evenly over apple filling using your hands.
Bake in the preheated oven until topping is lightly browned, 30 to 40 minutes.
